RACE CAR DRIVING IS AN EXPENSIVE SPORT AND MANY TALENTED DRIVERS LACK THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO PROGRESS IN THE SPORT OF RACE CAR DRIVING. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT ONLY ABOUT FORTY PERCENT OF ALL RACE CAR DRIVERS ARE SELF-SUSTAINING.
