THE ARC OF WASHINGTON TRUST FUND WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1950 TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR RESEARCH INTO INTELLECTUAL AND OTHER DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. THE TRUST FUND ALSO CONDUCTS A STUDENT STIPENED PROGRAM TO UPPER DIVISION OR GRADUATE STUDENTS IN INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION WHO HAVE DEMONSTRATED INTEREST IN THE FIELD OF INTELLECTUAL OR OTHER DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. WE ALSO SUPPORT FUNDING FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL LEVEL PRACTITIONERS WHO WILL BE PROVIDING SERVICES AND ADVOCACY FOR THE I/DD COMMUNITY.
