THE CITY TUTORS INC

Mission

The City Tutors (CT) is a free NYC-wide learning and career center that seeks to make individualized tutoring and professional mentoring readily available resources that first gen, immigrant, and historically low resourced communities across NYC can access at a time and pace they need them. We are empowered to serve the city through our growing collective of volunteers, whose support is largely made possible by project-based and yearlong sponsorships with companies across sectors. The City Tutors is a 501c3 non-profit, originally founded as a CUNY program by Garri Rivkin, an educator and CUNY alum who immigrated to New York as a refugee and experienced the need for the services The City Tutors provides.
