THE PURPOSE OF THIS CORPORATION IS TO SUPPORT, ENCOURAGE AND ASSIST EDUCATIONAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE GREGORY-PORTLAND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT, LEADERSHIP, PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND DEVELOPING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND TO ESTABLISH A MONETARY FUND TO BE USED TO SUPPLEMENT AND OTHERWISE SUPPORT THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND MISSION OF THE GREGORY-PORTLAND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND TO FURTHER THE EDUCATIONAL INTEREST OF ITS PUPILS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SUCH MATTERS AS CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING AND SUPPORT FOR G-PISD PUPILS ENTERING THE WORKFORCE OR PURSUING POST-SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.
