JUST AS OUR AREA SCHOOLS DEVELOP INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS (IEP) FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, THE ROO CREW TAKES AN INDIVIDUALIZED APPROACH TO OUR WORK WITH CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. ALTHOUGH OUR WORK VARIES FROM FAMILY TO FAMILY, SOME OF OUR REGULAR SUPPORT INCLUDES: PARTICIPATING IN IEP AND 504-PLAN MEETINGS. ADVOCATING FOR AND SUPPORTING SPECIAL EDUCATORS IN OUR COMMUNITY. HELPING FAMILIES CONNECT WITH LOCAL SPECIALISTS RELATED TO THEIR CHILD'S EDUCATIONAL AND MEDICAL DIAGNOSES. MATCHING CHILDREN WIHT TUTORS TRAINED IN THEIR CHILD'S PARTICULAR LEARNING NEEDS. PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SPECIAL EDUCATION TO THE COMMUNITY. IN 2023, THE ROO CREW SERVED APPROXIMATELY 60 FAMILIES ACROSS SPARTANBURG COUNTY.
