THE SENIOR CITIZENS COUNCIL OF GREATER AUGUSTA AND THE CSRA, GEORGIA, INC. IS ORGANIZED TO ASSIST OLDER PERSONS IN THE COMMUNITY TO SECURE EDUCATIONAL, RECREATIONAL, HEALTH, AND WELFARE SERVICES; INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES OF THE OLDER ADULTS TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY LIFE, ENLARGING THEIR SCOPE OF ACTIVITY AND INCREASING THEIR LEVEL OF LIFE SATISFACTION, PROMOTING EFFICIENT COORDINATION OF THE OLDER PERSON'S ENTRY INTO AND RECEIPT OF SERVICES; PROVIDING A RESOURCE FOR ALL AGENCIES WHICH DEAL WITH OLDER ADULTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR NEEDS, AT A CENTRAL LOCATION, AND WHICH WILL ASSIST AND ENHANCE AND IN NO WAY DETRACT FROM EXISTING PROGRAMS; IMPLEMENTING NEW SERVICES FOR THE OLDER ADULTS DETERMINED APPROPIATE BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS; AND TO DO ALL THINGS NEEDFUL AND NECESSARY TO ACOMPLISH THESE AIMS.
