The business and purpose of this nonprofit corporation shall be to organize, operate and maintain a vocational and technical education center to provide education and training to the residents of Southwest Alaska and other communities; to acquire or construct and maintain buildings and property for such purposes; to engage in any and all types of activities not prohibited by law which shall encourage, develop, provide, promote, enhance, and foster vocational, educational and technical skills as shall be useful to the residents of Southwest Alaska and other communities in their work and home life and shall make them more proficient in all of their activities and endeavors as citizens and residents of the state of Alaska.
