PRINCIPALLY, THE MONUMENT CONSISTS OF 3376 ENGRAVED GRANITE SLABS (THE STELAE), TO BE ERECTED IN A LOGARITHMIC SPIRAL ON THE DESIGNATED SITE. THE SITE WILL ALSO FEATURE SIXTEEN AEOLIAN HARPS. TAKEN TOGETHER, THE MONUMENT WILL PROVIDE A SPACE IN WHICH THE PUBLIC MAY EXPERIENCE BOTH A SCULPTURAL INSTALLATION AND THE VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF LITERARY TEXTS. THE STELAE WILL BE ENGRAVED WITH WORKS OF POETRY, PROSE, AND GRAPHIC ARTS - (ELEVEN NOVELS, AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY, AND MORE THAN A HUNDRED POEMS) - BASED ON A PERSONALIZED, FREE TRANSLATION OF THE HEBREW TANAKH (THE CHRISTIAN OLD TESTAMENT) - AND CONSTITUTING ONE LITERARY EPIC THAT INVOLVES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN A FATHER AND SON, THE LIFE OF A SMALL SOUTHERN COMMUNITY, AND A JOURNAL WRITTEN BY THE SON AS HE AND HIS FATHER DRIVE AROUND THE FIVE CONTINENTS OF THE WORLD.
