TO RECEIVE CONTRIBUTIONS WHICH ARE USED TO HELP WAWA ASSOCIATES AND THEIR FAMILIES SUFFERING SEVERE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP RESULTING FROM A CATASTROPHIC EVENT IN THEIR LIVES. THESE CATASTROPHIC EVENTS GENERALLY ARE EMERGENCY, MEDICAL, OR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE ASSOCIATE'S CONTROL FOR WHICH A PERSON COULD NOT BE EXPECTED TO BE ADEQUATELY PREPARED THROUGH RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BUDGETING.
