THE OBJECT AND PURPOSE OF THE UNION GOSPEL MISSION OF GRAYS HARBOR (THE MISSION) IS TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST; TO NURTURE NEW CHRISTIANS; TO FACILITATE THE REHABILITATION OF MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN IN THE COUNTY OF GRAYS HARBOR AND ITS SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES AND COUNTIES THROUGH THE CONDUCT OF A MISSION; TO FOSTER FELLOWSHIP IN COOPERATION WITH ALL ENGAGED OR INTERESTED IN GOSPEL MISSIONS AND OTHER RESCUE WORK THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES IN THE MUTUAL ADVANCEMENT OF THE CAUSE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST; TO ENGAGE IN AUXILIARY ACTIVITIES DEEMED NECESSARY IN FURNISHING EMERGENCY AID TO THOSE IN NEED; TO BE AN ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF THE HOMELESS, POOR, AND NEEDY; TO INFORM THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF THE POOR AND NEEDY; TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE SERVICES OF THE MISSION; AND TO CREATE CHANNELS OF MINISTRY AND SERVICE BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND THE NEEDS OF THE POOR AND HOMELESS.
