VIRGINIA COALFIELD COALITION, INC IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING A REGIONAL COOPERATIVE EFFORT BETWEEN THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU PLANNING DISTRICT COMMISSION, LENOWISCO PLANNING DISTRICT COMMISSION AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL UNITS. FUNDS WILL BE USED TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE COALFIELD REGION OF THE STATE OF VIRGINIA
