THE VIRGINIA DISCOVERY MUSEUM'S MISSION IS TO OPERATE A HANDS-ON MUSEUM FOCUSING ON ARTISTIC, RECREATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC, AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND EXHIBITS FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHILDREN WHO RESIDE IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE AND ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VIRGINIA AS WELL AS THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.
