THE PRIMARY GOAL OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO PROVIDE NEUTRAL GOVERNANCE FOR RELEVANT TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTORS TO DEVELOP A SPECIFICATION(S) THAT PERMITS PRODUCTS TO INTER-OPERATE IN A MANNER THAT PROVIDES A STANDARDIZED METHOD FOR CAPTURING, PROCESSING AND VIEWING 3-DIMENSIONAL VIDEO.
