WE Evanston ceased operations in 2024. Before that we ran as a charitable nonprofit dedicated to supporting career development for young adults in our community. We enabled these 17 to 30 year olds to learn technical skills and soft skills, network with people in their career field of interest, and gain understanding of various career options. We also provided individualized career coaching, internships, career matched mentors, employer and training program tours, and interactive workshops. Most of the youth went on to pursue careers in the tech and trades including in various areas of healthcare, IT, building trades, fine arts and more.
