ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT THE WEST MICHIGAN FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY RELATED TO SIX PILLAR STRATEGIES: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION, INCUBATION, LOGISTICS, HEALTHY FOOD, AND SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES. THE MISSION AND GOAL OF THE WMFPA IS TO CONNECT WEST MICHIGAN'S EXISTING FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY FROM "FARM TO TABLE" BY TAKING A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO LINK FARMERS, FOOD PROCESSORS, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICALS WITH THE RESOURCES, INFRASTRUCTURE, NEW MARKETS, AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS THAT ARE ABLE TO TRAIN THE CURRENT AND FUTURE WORKFORCE LEADING TO SUSTAINABLE REGIONAL JOB CREATION, ECONOMIC GROWTH, AND AN ENHANCED REGIONAL DASHBOARD.
