THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF WIKITONGUES IS TO SAFEGUARD LINGUISTIC DIVERSITY BY SUPPORTING GRASSROOTS LINGUISTIC DOCUMENTATION EFFORTS, INCLUDING THE CREATION OF VIDEO ORAL HISTORIES, AUDIO RECORDINGS, AND DICTIONARIES, ARCHIVING AND PUBLISHING LANGUAGE DOCUMENTATION, AND SUPPORTING COMMUNITY-LED LANGUAGE REVITALIZATION INITIATIVES.
