THE WILMINGTON YOUTH ROWING ASSOCIATION (WYRA) IS A NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT USES THE SPORT OF ROWING AS A VEHICLE TO RAISE SELF-ESTEEM AND TEACH SELF-DISCIPLINE, RESPONSIBILITY, SPORTSMANSHIP, AND TEAMWORK TO A DIVERSE POPULATION OF AREA YOUTH. WYRA STAFF WORK CLOSELY WITH ROWERS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO PREPARE THEM FOR THE COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS AND TO ENSURE THEIR SUCCESS ACADEMICALLY.
