THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO DISTRIBUTE GRANTS TO INCLUDE: MENTORING STUDENTS WORKING TOWARD DEGREES IN MUSIC EDUCATION, SUPPORT RELATING TO WOMEN BAND DIRECTORS, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BAND DIRECTORS TO GAIN ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND STUDENTS PURSUING DEGREES IN MUSIC EDUCATION AND DIRECTING BANDS. ALL REVENUE FOR THE FOUNDATION COMES FROM DONORS AND IS USED PRIMARILY TO SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIPS. A MINIMUM OF 5 SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED ANNUALLY TO WOMEN UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE STUDENTS WHO ARE PURSUING A DEGREE IN MUSIC EDUCATION WITH THE INTENT TO BECOME BAND DIRECTORS.
