AMERICAN THORACIC SOCIETY, INC. IS AN INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY WHICH PREVENTS AND FIGHTS RESPIRATORY DISEASE THROUGH RESEARCH, EDUCATION, PATIENT CARE AND ADVOCACY. THE MISSION OF ATS IS TO ACCELERATE GLOBAL INNOVATION IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF RESPIRATORY HEALTH THROUGH MULTIDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION, EDUCATION, AND ADVOCACY.
