THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION SHALL BE TO OWN, MAINTAIN, AND REGULATE FIRE EQUIPMENT AND A FIRE STATION IN THE VICINITY AND TO PROMOTE A COMPANY OF FIREFIGHTERS WHOSE DUTY IT SHALL BE TO SAVE LIVES, SAVE PROPERTY AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY WHEN CALLED UPON TO DO SO BY THE COMMUNITY OR AN OUTSIDE COMMUNITY. THE AMITY COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT INC. SHALL PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP BETWEEN ITS MEMBERS, ACT AS AN ASSET TO THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY IN WHICH IT SERVES.
