Barnesville Community Foundation was incorporated on February 10, 1993, and commenced operations and by-laws were adopted on October 21, 1996. On that date, by-laws were adopted. A Board of Trustees was elected, and officers were elected by the Trustees. The purpose of the foundation is to solicit and receive contributions and to distribute these funds (or in the case of the endowment contributions, the earnings therefrom) for the cultural and economic development of the Village of Barnesville.
