Building Tomorrow equips Community Education Teams to support education in rural, underserved areas. Through this model, in 2024, we reached 283,000 learners in Uganda with our signature Roots to Rise foundational literacy and numeracy camps, cutting learning poverty for more than three-quarters of our learners. We enrolled 48,500 out-of-school children in school, and we recruited and trained 3,600 new Community Education Volunteers, who donated over 963,000 hours of their time to supporting community-powered learning during 2024.
