THE MISSION OF CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY WE LIVE, BY PROVIDING HELP AND CREATING HOPE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES EXPERIENCING A CRISIS IN THEIR LIVES, REGARDLESS OF RACE OR RELIGION. CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND ALL CATHOLIC CHARITIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES ARE COMMITTED TO HELP END POVERTY IN AMERICA BY ADDRESSING AND RESPONDING TO THE CORE ISSUES OF POVERTY, AND IN A MORE DIRECT WAY, OFFERING SERVICES TO HELP FAMILIES ACHIEVE SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE. CCRGV ANTICIPATES ENHANCING THE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, PLACING A STRONGER EMPHASIS ON STABILIZATION AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE.
