THE MISSION OF COLLEGE HORIZONS (CH) IS TO ENCOURAGE AND FACILITATE THE EDUCATION OF NATIVE AMERICAN YOUNG PEOPLE. THE GOALS OF CH ARE TO INCREASE THE HIGHER EDUCATION RATE OF NATIVE STUDENTS BY PROVIDE PRE-COLLEGE (COLLEGE HORIZONS), PRE-GRADUATE (GRADUATE HORIZONS), AND STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES (SCHOALRS PROGRAM) TO AMERICAN INDIAN, ALASKA NATIVE AND NATIVE HAWAIIAN STUDENTS. A SECONDARY IMPACT IS PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO COLLEGE ADMISSION OFFICERS, HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS, AND TRIBAL EDUCATORS. PROGRAMS ARE DELIVERED IN-PERSON AT SUMMER WORKSHOPS AND REMOTELY VIA WEBINARS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. IN 2025, THE HIGH SCHOOL COLLEGE HORIZONS PROGRAMS WERE HOSTED BY THE HAWAI'I PREPRATORY ACADEMY IN KAMUELA, HI (JUNE 7-JUNE 13, 2025), NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY IN EVANSTON, IL (JUNE 24- JULY 2, 2025) AND YALE UNIVERSITY IN NEW HAVEN, CT (JUNE 24- JULY 2, 2025) WHILE THE SCHOLARS PATHWAY PROGRAM AND GRADUATE HORIZONS PROGRAMS WERE NOT OFFERED IN 2025.
