EWAC'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT AND ASSIST ITS MEMBERS' ACTIONS TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL WILDLIFE LAWS, INCLUDING THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT (ESA), THE MIGRATORY BIRD TREATY ACT (MBTA), AND THE BALD AND GOLDEN EAGLE PROTECTION ACT (BGEPA). THE FUNDAMENTAL GOALS OF EWAC ARE TO EVALUATE, DEVELOP, AND PROMOTE SOUND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES FOR FEDERALLY PROTECTED WILDLIFE AND CLOSELY RELATED NATURAL RESOURCES WHILE ENSURING THE CONTINUED GENERATION AND TRANSMISSION OF RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE, AND INCREASINGLY CLEAN ELECTRICITY.
