Mission
To have the new Pensacola Bay Bridge named in honor of General Daniel "Chappie" James, Jr. (accomplished). To erect a memorial plaza in honor of General James at the bridge landing to properly recognize the accomplishments of this national hero of three wars, and as the first African American to achieve 4-star rank in the US military. General James was a native of Pensacola, Florida.
