THE GEORGIA WORKS! MISSION IS TO TAKE CHRONICALLY HOMELESS MEN, COMPREHENSIVELY CHANGE THEIR HABITS AND HELP THEM WITH THEIR PROBLEMS SO THEY CAN BECOME WORKING, PRODUCTIVE, SELF-SUFFICIENT CITIZENS. THROUGH TWO VERY IMPORTANT METHODS - INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT AND BY EMPHASIZING THE IMPORTANCE OF WORK - PEOPLE END THEIR HOMELESSNESS AND ACHIEVE PERMANENT SELF-SUFFICIENCY. THE PROGRAM IS A 6 - 12 MONTH MULTI-PHASED PROCESS OFFERING COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO HELP TRAINEES OVERCOME BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT AND ACHIEVE INDEPENDENT LIFESTYLES.
