Mission

To increase the number of Indigenous Computer Science students and instructors in the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and beyond by providing access to learning opportunities, tools, resources, mentorship, and support. IndigiGenius is an Indigenous-led, community focused nonprofit developing a sustainable and scalable system of creating leaders and changemakers in the fields of Computer Science. Our organizational goal of reaching population parity with CS PhD graduate rates by graduating thirty-five Indigenous CS PhD students per year. To accomplish this goal, IndigiGenius developed a series of programs that educate students and teachers to create earlier CS opportunities at the high school level.
