THE INTERNATIONAL ANESTHESIA RESEARCH SOCIETY (IARS) IS A NONPOLITICAL, NOT-FOR-PROFIT MEDICAL SOCIETY FOUNDED IN 1922 TO ADVANCE AND SUPPORT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND EDUCATION RELATED TO ANESTHESIA AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF PATIENT CARE THROUGH RESEARCH. IARS CONTRIBUTES NEARLY $1 MILLION ANNUALLY TO FUND ANESTHESIA RESEARCH AND MAINTAINS A WORLDWIDE MEMBERSHIP OF PHYSICIANS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, FELLOWS, RESIDENTS, STUDENTS AND OTHERS WITHIN ANESTHESIA-RELATED PRACTICE. THE IARS PROVIDES FORUMS FOR MEMBERS TO SHARE INFORMATION AND EXCHANGE IDEAS AND SUPPORT HIGH-QUALITY CLINICAL DISCUSSIONS. THESE FORUMS INCLUDE AN ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC EDUCATIONAL MEETING, AN ONLINE MEMBER COMMUNITY, MONTHLY WEBINARS AND A MONTHLY PRINT AND ONLINE PEER-REVIEWED JOURNAL, ANESTHESIA & ANALGESIA, AND THE CLINICAL ONLINE COMPANION JOURNAL, A&A PRACTICE, FOR THE GLOBAL ANESTHESIOLOGY COMMUNITY.
