JEREMY WAS WORKING WITHIN THE INCIDENT AND WAS TRAGICALLY KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY. JEREMY WORKED FOR THE REDDING FIRE DEPARTMENT AND WAS BOTH ALUMNI OF SHASTA COLLEGE AND AN INSTRUCTOR IN MANY AREAS WITHIN THE FIRE ACADEMY. JEREMY'S PASSION FOR THE FIRE SERVICE WAS EVIDENT IN HIS WORK ETHIC. HIS REPUTATION WAS KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE FIRE SERVICE AS BEING A BROTHER WHO HAD YOUR BACK. THE VISION OF THIS FOUNDATION IS TO PASS ON SOME OF THE QUALITIES THAT JEREMY EMBODIED: HONORING THE BRAVE, ASSISTING THOSE IN NEED, SHAPING THE FUTURE OF THE FIRE SERVICE. THROUGH THESE VISIONARY POINTS, THE FOUNDATION IS ABLE TO PROVIDE EDUCATION RESOURCES AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL STUDENTS AND FIRE ACADEMY RECRUITS. THE FOUNDATION REACHES OUT TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY FAMILES AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE IN TIMES OF NEED.
