THE MISSION OF THE MAC SPORTS FOUNDATION (THE "FOUNDATION") IS TO OPERATE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, INCLUDING TO FURTHER ENCOURAGE AND RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELDS OF ATHLETICS AND, IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, TO SELECT FOR PUBLIC RECOGNITION THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE MADE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELD OF SPORTS AND ATHLETICS.
