MARTHA'S HOUSE, INC. WAS INCORPORATED IN FLORIDA OCTOBER 31, 1988 TO PREVENT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WITHIN ITS LOCAL COMMUNITY. MARTHA'S HOUSE OFFERS HELP TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS, PROVIDE COUNSELING FOR ABUSED PERSONS THROUGH HANDS-ON ASSISTANCE, AND REFERRALS TO OTHER COUNSELING AGENCIES TO ARRANGE IMMEDIATE REFUGE FOR SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE. THE ORGANIZATION IS LOCATED IN OKEECHOBEE COUNTY AND DRAWS ITS CLIENTS GENERALLY FROM THAT AREA.
