THE COMMISSION EXERCISES THE DUAL ROLES OF QUALTIY ASSURANCE AND ENCOURAGING CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT FOR DEGREE-GRANTING INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE SIX NEW ENGLAND STATES AND, AS DETERMINED BY THE COMMISSION, INTERNATIONALLY.
