THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS ELECTRICAL JOINT APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE WAS ESTABLISHED IN ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS IN 1946 AS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS LOCAL UNION 364 AND THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION. ITS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE THE BEST AVAILABLE TRAINING TO APPRENTICES OF ALL CLASSIFICATIONS OF THE ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS, THROUGH RIGOROUS CLASSROOM CURRICULUM AND EXTENSIVE HANDS-ON PRACTICE. APPRENTICES COMPLETING UP TO FIVE YEARS OF STUDY AND ON-THE-JOB TRAINING PROVIDE A SKILLED WORK FORCE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS.
