THE MISSION OF THE OKLAHOMA COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMISSION IS TO ENGAGE OKLAHOMANS OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS IN COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE WHICH SUPPORTS AMERICORPS PROGRAMS IN OKLAHOMA COMMUNITIES. SERVICES MAY INCLUDE ASSISTING WITH DISASTER RECOVERY, IMPROVING ECONOMIC SECURITY OF ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE, PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT, HELPING TO CONSERVE NATURAL HABITATS THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP, AND SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY BEHAVIORS AND SUPPORT VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES.
