ORKEESWA'S MISSION IS TO CULTIVATE THOUGHTFUL DECISION-MAKERS AND CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVERS PREPARED TO AHCIEVE THEIR OWN VISION FOR IMPACT. IN 2008, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL LEADERS, ORKEESWA OPENED IN THIS UNDERSERVED MAASAI COMMUNITY IN NORTHERN TANZANIA ON LAND DONATED BY THE COMMUNITY ELDERS. SIXTEEN YEARS ON, ORKEESWA OFFERS A MULTI-PRONGED APPROACH TO EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COMMUNITY THAT IS THE FOUNDATION FOR YOUTH-DRIVEN, COMMUNITY-LED DEVELOPMENT.
