Mission

We are edicated to providing rescued wild animals with the space, care, and tranquility they need to heal and thrive. At the request of authorities from Florida and neighboring states, the sanctuary rehabilitates black bear cubs. Once the cubs regain their health and readiness for the wild, they are returned to the authorities for release in carefully selected, suitable habitats. As part of its commitment to supporting wildlife rehabilitation efforts across Florida, Forest Animal Rescue offers a safe haven for rehabilitated native wildlife that cannot be returned to their original habitats. These animals are released into protected areas owned by the sanctuary, ensuring they can thrive in appropriate native environments. Beyond its local efforts, Forest Animal Rescue collaborates with accredited wildlife sanctuaries nationwide. Together they provide critical support in rescuing and caring for non-releasable wild animals, often those rescued from unsuitable or harmful captive conditions
