TO INCREASE AND IMPROVE THE AVAILABLE LOCALLY-BASED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH OPTIONS FOR RESIDENTS OF PETERSBURG, THE REMAINDER OF MITKOF ISLAND AND THE CITY OF KUPREANOF. TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS THE MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE NEEDS OF EACH CONSUMER REGARDLESS OF RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, CREED, NATIONAL ORIGIN, AGE, GENDER, SEXUAL PREFERENCE, AND MENTAL OR PHYSICAL HANDICAP. TO MAINTAIN A PRIMARY FOCUS ON THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF OUR CLIENTS "IN THIS SMALL TOWN ENVIRONMENT". TO DO "WHATEVER WORKS" TO INCREASE THE INTERPERSONAL, EMOTIONAL, BEHAVIORAL AND INTELLECTUAL SKILLS THAT ALLOW OUR CONSUMERS TO FUNCTION IN THE COMMUNITY AT THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE. "WHATEVER WORKS" REFERS TO A COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF SERVICES, INCLUDING SOME TRADITIONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY (GROUP, INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES, FAMILY), CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY COUNSELING, AND MONETARY SUPPORT SERVICES AND ADVOCACY FOR OTHER COMMUNITY-BASED NON-PROFITS.
