THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ACT AS A DEVELOPMENT FINANCE INSTITUTION TO PROMOTE THE GROWTH OF PRODUCTIVE PRIVATE INVESTMENT AND TO ASSIST BUSINESS ENTERPRISES THAT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.
