Mission

RG Foods addresses food insecurity and health disparities though a whole system framework to bring healthful food stores back to economically disadvantaged communities. Not only does it improve access to healthful foods, but improves health outcomes. Our core strengths lies not in direct benefits, but systemic change. We identify the root causes of food deserts and strategically focus efforts on disrupting the underlying causes to rebuild the ecosystem of the food supply chain rooted in justice. We built a holistic systems approach to rebuild the ecosystem of the local food supply chain through a combination of mobile and micro store fronts, food hubs, urban regenerative agriculture and entrepreneurial opportunities for those living in food deserts. By working to fill in gaps and collaborate with other agencies and community activists working in food security, we are able to plug in and assist in moving food access projects forward.
