ORIGINATING IN MERCER COUNTY IN 2020 WITH THE MISSION OF TACKLING BOTH FOOD INSECURITY AND FOOD WASTE, SHARE MY MEALS HAS SINCE EXPANDED ACROSS THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. MORE THAN 994,000 NEW JERSEY RESIDENTS ARE FOOD-SECURE WHILE OVER 1.9 MILLION TONS OF FOOD ARE WASTED EACH YEAR ACROSS THE STATE. SHARE MY MEALS EXISTS TO ADDRESS BOTH OF THESE CHALLENGES, ENSURING THAT EXCESS MEALS ARE USED TO THEIR HIGHEST AND BEST POTENTIAL: TO FEED PEOPLE IN NEED.
