THE OBJECT AND PURPOSE OF SAID CORPORATION IS TO PROTECT THE PROPERTY AND LIVES OF THE CITIZENS OF THE SMITHSBURG AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITY BY EXTINGUISHING OR SUPPRESSING FIRES AND PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH PROGRAMS TO TEACH FIRE SAFETY.
