To provide a multi-county regional enhanced emergency telephone system in Southwestern Oklahoma. Enhanced 911 emergency telephone services are provided by the Southwest Oklahoma Regional 911 Association to all residents in Beckham, Blaine, Custer, Harmon, Kiowa, Roger Mills, and Washita counties in Oklahoma. The Association provides equipment, the telephone network, addressing, mapping, phone number database administration, and partial funding for the systems operations to enable member counties to provide enhanced 911. The Association provides the system for the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) to answer 911 emergency calls with enhanced data and location specific mapping information for all phone services including landline, wireless and voice over IP.
