Mission

The mission of SGFA is to make live musical experiences accessible to all. The organization does this by providing ten admission free performances in Sigmund Stern Grove - a facility and park that was donated to the City of San Francisco by SGFA. Approximately 95,000 attend performances at Stern Grove Festival each year. Additionally, SGFA provides music and dance education programs - also free of charge - to thousands of children each year. These programs take place at Sigmund Stern Grove, public schools, and community centers around the City of San Francisco.
