THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS DOING WHAT MATTERS FOR OUR COMMUNITY; TO SERVE AS A CATALYST, LEADER AND/OR PARTNER FOR COMMUNITY EFFORTS TO DEVELOP SOLUTIONS, REDUCE NEED, AND HAVE A POSITIVE MEASURABLE IMPACT ON IDENTIFIED AREAS OF CONCERN; TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR RESIDENTS OF THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDEING SUPPORT FOR PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, ORGANIZATIONS AND /OR AGENCIES THAT POSSITIVELY IMPACT HEALTH, WELFARE AND CHARACTER BUILDING NEEDS. GREATER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY UNITED WAY IS A CHANNEL TO FUNDING AND RESOURCES FOR PROGRAMS SERVING RESIDENTS OF NORTHUMBERLAND, SNYDER AND UNION COUNTIES THAT LEAD TO MEASURABLE IMPROVEMENTS IN PEOPLE'S LIVES AND COMMUNITY CONDITIONS. WE UNITED PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS, ADVOCATE FOR CHGANGES NEEDED TO MAKE OUR COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE, AND FOCUS ON RESOURCES WITH MAXIMUM IMPACT STATEGIES TARGETING SIX ISSUES, KNOWN AS OUR PRIORITIES FOR IMPACT.
