THE ORGANIZATION MISSION IS TO PRESERVE ASSISTED HOUSING FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, DEVELOP A STRONG COMMUNITY, AND PROMOTE SELF SUFFICIENCY FOR ALL RESIDENTS.THE PRIMARY ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANIZATION IS WAS THE OWNERSHIP AND OPERATION OF THE RIO MANOR APARTMENTS, A 48-UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX LOCATED AT 600 CANTU ROAD, DEL RIO, TX 78840 FOR THE BENEFIT OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS MAKING 60% OR LESS OF AREA MEDIAN INCOME (AMI). THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS MAINTAINED A U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) PROPERTY BASED SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENT (HAP) RENTAL ASSISTANCE CONTRACT FOR 27 UNITS. THE HAP RENT ASSISTED UNITS WERE MADE AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS WITH INCOMES OF LESS THAN 30% OF AMI.
