FOUNDED IN 1981 TO FILL THE ROLE OF COLLABORATIVEPARTNER IN RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS OF AN EMERGING HISPANIC POPULATION, THE CONCILIOEDUCATED NONPROFITS AND OTHER AGENCIES ON EFFECTIVELY REACHING THIS GROWINGDEMOGRAPHIC. FOR 39 YEARS, THE CONCILIO HAS SPECIALIZED IN OUTREACH TO THE HISPANICCOMMUNITY, AS WELL AS ACTIVELY WORKING WITH OTHER EFFECTIVE, EXISTING LOCAL AGENCIES.TODAY THE CONCILIO PROVIDES DIRECT SERVICES THAT FULFILL ITS MISSION "TO BUILDSTRONGER COMMUNITIES BY EMPOWERING PARENTS TO IMPROVE THE EDUCATION AND HEALTH OFTHEIR FAMILIES."
