THE FOUNDATION'S FUNDS ARE GIVEN TO FOSTER THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WOMEN IN THE SCIENCES; TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THOSE AFFECTED BY CHRONIC ILLNESS; AND TO SUPPORT EFFORTS TO PROTECT AND HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY VIOLENCE.
