THE UNITED JEWISH COUNCIL OF THE EAST SIDE (UJC) IS IN ITS 52ND YEAR OF SERVICE.FORMED IN 1971 BY CIVIC LEADERS. THE UNITED JEWISH COUNCIL'S MISSION_IS TO _PRESERVE THE LOWER EAST SIDE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SERVICES AND PROGRAMS, MANY OF WHICH ARE GEARED TOWARDS THE ELDERLY.
