UNITED WAY OF SOUTHERN NEVADA, INC. (THE ORGANIZATION OR UNITED WAY) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION GOVERNED BY A LOCAL VOLUNTEER BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE ORGANIZATION WAS INCORPORATED IN 1957 AND ITS OPERATIONS ARE PRIMARILY IN CLARK COUNTY. THE ORGANIZATION IS ONE OF MORE THAN 1,200 LOCAL, INDEPENDENT UNITED WAYS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. UNITED WAY'S MISSION IS TO UNITE OUR COMMUNITY TO IMPROVE PEOPLE'S LIVES. THE ORGANIZATION IS INNOVATIVE AND COLLABORATIVE IN THEIR EFFORTS TO CREATE A BETTER COMMUNITY FOR ALL. UNITED WAY IS WORKING WITH AND THROUGH STRATEGIC PARTNERS TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES THAT NO ONE AGENCY CAN SOLVE ALONE.
